Tape Philadelphia: Enter the Cocoon [2019]

In 2019, Group X and the Philadelphia Navy Yard exhibited an interactive tape sculpture from experimental European arts collective Numen/For Use. This was the group’s first installation on the East Coast, and only their second in the United States. Titled Tape Philadelphia: Enter the Cocoon, the sculpture transported onlookers and those who navigated the installation both literally and metaphorically. The project opened November 9 inside 1701 Langley Avenue (Building 694) at the Navy Yard and ran through December 1, 2019, free and open to all.
