Seated Little Cloud [2024]

“SEATED LITTLE CLOUD” SYMBOLIZED HARMONY, INVITING VIEWERS TO EMBRACE ITS MEDITATIVE NATURE AND FIND SERENITY IN ITS PRESENCE.

In 2024, Group X and the Philadelphia Navy Yard revealed Seated Little Cloud by artists FriendsWithYou.

From September 5-30, 2024, this playful artwork graced the Navy Yard’s Crescent Park, welcoming visitors with its cheerful presence. The inflatable sculpture towered 35 feet, while spanning 26 feet wide and 21 feet deep. The installation, free and open to the public, embodied FriendsWithYou’s mission to create art that fosters joy and connection. The Seated Little Cloud symbolized harmony, inviting viewers to embrace its meditative nature and find serenity in its presence.

FriendsWithYou is the collaborative art project of Los Angeles based artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, working collectively since 2002 to create modern modes of spirituality with the mission of having a positive impact on our world. The signature Little Cloud has been featured in many places such as Covent Garden, London, Shibuya, Japan, Miami, Florida, the Aria, in Las Vegas, the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, and right here in Philadelphia at the Pizzeria Beddia.
